Bitac Solutions was created after Derrick Robinson and Samuel Mbugua who had been working together for a period of time found that their individual business goals complemented each other. After working together successfully within the local community with young people, community members and professionals, we came together to form a social enterprise, Bitac Solutions.
We were incorporated as a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee in September 2014 and our board is made up of professionals with years of experience in the field of Information Technology and Communications (ITC) and Business Development, and also includes trustees from the community we hope to serve. Derrick and Samuel serve as Directors.
Early in 2015 we were successful in obtaining funding from the Big Lottery Fund to take forward the computer recycling part of the business. As we are a new social enterprise company in its early years we are seeking funding to assist in taking our businesses activities forward.
Our aims are as follows:
- Deliver business support to Start-ups and Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).
- Provide a computer recycling scheme.
- Offer a range of training programmes to young people including those from deprived communities through working in partnership with a wide range of business partners in Information Technology and Communications (ITC) and Business Development, in addition to local learning institutions on a complimentary basis to add value to the training programme.
